Sand and Stone

By Targ ElJebuni (545)

This story tells about two friends that were walking through the desert.

At one point during the trip they started arguing and one of the friends hit the other in the face The one that had been hit was hurt, but without a further word, wrote down in the sand: "Today my best friend hit me in the face."

They carried on walking until they came across an oasis, where they decided to freshen up and bathe. But the one that had been hit before got caught in the mud and was about to drown, but the friend saved him. After he had recovered, he wrote down on a stone: "Today my best friend saved my life.”

The friend that had hit his best friend and had then saved him asked: "After I hit you, you wrote in the sand and now you are writing on stone, why?" The other friend answered: "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand so that the wind can forgive us by blowing it away.” “But when someone does something nice for us, we should engrave it in stone, where no wind can ever blow it away.”

Learn to write down your pain in sand and to engrave the good experiences in stone.

My opinion:
It takes a minute to find someone special, an hour to appreciate them, a day to get to like and love them, but it takes a lifetime to forget them. It’s a short message to let people you know that you will never forget them

This article is a great analogy for forgivenss. If someone causes temporary pain in your life, simply forgive them and let the "sand" blow it off. When someone causes joy and happiness in your life remember them.

From this article, I'm learning the word "forgiveness". In real life, people are always argue with something arising from small issue. If everyone read this article and put it my memory, maybe the life is full in happiness, warm & harmonious.

I know about this "story"! I heared it before. I think what the article say is true, of course, but sometime it dosn't work. I have experience about that and I think that if my friend hits me probably he's making a mistake but probably not. Anyway, since that moment, I'm careful to him/her and, probably, will be not the same relationship between us.

After I read this artcle and saw this picture, I thought this artcle remains me my friends.
Person who make good relationship with her is very difficult and it take long time; however, break relationship is very easy. Also they will not be able to forget each other.

I think this is a good story. i got a warm heart after reading this article. We all are easy to forget somthing, so we usually get something wrong. We have to think other's mind and circumstance. I'll memorize the sentence.

This article inspires people to cherish their relationship with friends who help us and be our mentor. Also, we suppose to learn forgive people who make a mistake whether they are careless or not.

This article is a interesting story, but I can't agree with this article. Why the person who was hit by friend didn't hit friend. He shoud have hit his friend because he was hit.

I learned how difficult to make a forgiveness to other people. In my opinion it's not easy to give forgiveness to other people. I thought I have to reconsider I can stand or I can give forgiveness to my fiends.
