Why do many medical consultant says that? There are eight reasons why:
First of all, walking is great for the heart. Duke University Medical Center researchers found that walking briskly for 30 minutes every day lowers your odds of developing metabolic syndrome, a cluster of risk factors linked to higher risks of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
Second, it reduces breast-cancer risks. Walking helps reduce levels of body fat and increases levels of estrogen. Third, it helps you sleep. A brisk walk in the afternoon will help you get a better night's sleep. Experts say that walking
may boost levels of the feel-good hormone serotonin, which relaxes you.
Fourth, it cuts down on aches and pains. Walk the "Chi" (pronounced chee) way and you could have fewer achy days. Nine years ago, Danny Dreyer, an ultra-marathoner then living near San Francisco, California, invented ChiWalking. It looks like regular walking, but because you consciously relax, improve the alignment of your body, and involve arm movements,
it puts less stress on the legs while you walk.
Fifth, it makes you happy. Walking helps the body produce endorphins, the mood-boosting chemicals linked to "runner's high." Sixth, it keeps you slimmer. People walked for an hour five days a week and consumed 1,500 calories a day lost and kept off 25 pounds over the course of a year.
Seventh, it staves off senior moments. Regular strolls are linked to mental sharpness in seniors. Walking is likely to help keep your mind active. Finally, it protects your bones. Just 30 minutes of walking three times a week does wonders to prevent and treat thinning bones. This kind of exercise uses 95 percent of your muscles, which actually pushes your bones to get stronger so they can handle the load.
My Opinion:
I read this article that said walking is good for me in many ways. one of the benefits is weight loss. This is true through my own experience. in my case, I lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. These days, many people drive to close places instead of walking. I suggest that people use the stairs instead of elevators.

I had known walking is good for our health, but I've thought it's just to lose weights. But according to this article, there are many benefits of walking, 8 benefits! I'm surprised to the fact and especially I admired some of them which are related to women. Walking doesn't need any special equipment, so we will be able to start walking soon. I know it's easy to start walking but it's difficult to keep walking. I want to try keeping walking for my health.
I had already known that walking is good for me, but I din't know that there are many ways to atrract. I was suprised that walking help to reduce the risk of brest-cancer.
However, I am not sure about walking makes me happy. Let's say I decided to walk in this weather with my friends. I don't think I am going to be happy.
I will try to walk 30 min. at least once a week.
Definitely, walking is good exericse for us. What we need to do is prepare a pair of running shoes and sport clothes. Also, if we like to listen to music, we can bring our iPod. Last time I heard that someone lost fouty pounds by walking thirty minutes per day. She told her audiences that we should walk as quickly as we could. It would be healthier. Are you ready? Let's go!
Yes, walking is really good for our health. I guess that everyone may know this fact; however, the real number of people who walks regularly is not so much including me. Because walking is kind of boaring, tiring, and so on...
I hope that some excited exercises will appear. If we had that, our life is going to become more healthy.
I think walking is a one of the easiest exercises because we don't need any equipment, and we won't be tired less then other exercises such as running and workout. Also, if we walk with our friends, it's fun!!! I think I should start walking to become more healthy and lose weight.

old people should walk every day as much as they can because it will help too much. moreover, walking dosen't need anythings only what you need is time and place which i think every body have it.
