Smoking Athletes?

Summary:
In fitness world, many athletes do exercise with supplements, steroids or spandex. On the contrary, it is the almost incredible combination of exercise and smoking. However, there are people who do both. They compete in marathons and triathlons and go hiking and train at the gym, and also have a pretty steady cigarette habit.

For example, “At the Pikes Peak Marathon, A nonsmoker won, and the three smokers who ran never finished the race. A smoker did beat to the top, but decided to smoke a cigarette instead of heading back.” It shows that nonsmokers are better than smokers at Marathon, triathlons and something like that. In other words, smoking doesn’t have any good things for athletes and it is just one of bad habits.

So, the smokers have different point of view about their habit. Some think it doesn’t matter and others think when they should try to quit. But for now, smoking and exercise continue to run in synchronization

MY OPINION:
There is no reason why people do exercise and smoking? It is so bad for our lungs and body. Can they say, they really do exercise for their health? Of course, smoking and exercise is better than smoking and sitting. However, it is obviously not the smartest thing, and these athletes could probably do better if they didn't smoke.

Moreover, smoking causes consistent damage to the body. If someone is exercising and smoking they have serious issues on a number of levels, including a strong possibility of mental illness. Actually, many people have lung cancer or emphysema because of smoking. So, I think the best way is that smokers stop smoking even if they don’t exercise. To stop smoking is the first thing!

Actually, i'm smoker, so I know that smoking is killing me by myself. everyone knows smoking is bad habit.
Have you thought why they,smokers,can't quit smoking?
I'm trying to decrease smoking, but it's hard to me... please, give me a solution.

How can smoke and exercise together?They are different things.Smoking is bad for health, but the exercise is good for health.I think people do them together is crazy.They break their body,and then,they do exercise to make their body more stronger.

It's true, Smoking has no benefits, Smoking has just harmful something, but it's difficult to quit. I have tried to quit smoking many times. Of course, I am trying to quit now. Actually, the saying in this article is very serious problem to me. Usually, I don't smoke, but I surrended from my desire when I finished exercising and drink.

I also think it's better to quit smoking than to smoke and exercise. As the article said, the combination of exercise and smoking is incredible for me. However, there are people who do botn, I think "smoking doesn’t have any good things for athletes and it is just one of bad habits." as same as the article said. Smoking has no good point for our bodies, I think. Especially for athletes, smoking is a big problem, I guess. Without regard to do exercise or not, I think people should quit smoking as soon as possible.

Smoking is extremely hard to quit. I'm not a smoker, but my father has been smoking 25years. My family tried to make him stop smoking, but we couldn't. We did every recomanded ways to quit smoking, however it didn't worked. Everyone know to stop smoking is the first way, but I think it's not a well-advised. Therefore, smoking athletes may not be the best way, but it is an effort to keep your health longer, to say the least of it.

I think it doesn't make sense that there are athletes who smoke and take supplements. If they want to beat other atheletes, they shoud stop smoking because there is a proof that smoking is bad for their record as this article said. I agree with your opinion that smokers who don't exercise shold cut out smoking.

this essay said non-smoke athletes are good than smoke athletes in the match, but i think the import thing is to enjoy and finish it. somking is not good for our health, but anything has two side and a lot of people smoke in the world, also these smokers have sciencer, president, businessman,and so on. if you like sport, it is good for you and keep it.

I'm not a smoker, and I think I'm lucky.
Some friends that smoke told me that when they run some feet, they find it difficult to breathe and then they have to stop.
I encourage you to quit smoking, some people are getting it and then you can save the money and do a trip ;)

I know people who smoke and do exercise. I think they already know somking is not good for health, so they started something good for them. However, in athletes' case, it doesn't make sense at all. I don't think they are real athlete.
